Pre-Speech Communication Strategies –
Getting and Using an Email List
It is imperative that you acquire your client’s email list so that you can execute an effective pre-speech communication campaign.
You have to assure your meeting planner/sponsor that you will:
- use the list for the single purpose of promoting your presentation
- you will not give the list to any other party
- that you will destroy the list after the presentation
If you can’t get the list, your meeting planner/sponsor may agree to send your emails for you. It’s better than none at all but is not nearly effective as you sending them under your own screen name.
