“In” Speech Marketing – Make Them Say “WOW” and Remember “WOW”
Ever attend a speech or seminar, take notes all over the handout or notepad and then never see the “best ideas” again? Most audience members are not disciplined to take notes so that they implement the best ideas they heard.
All of my “handout” materials include a “WOW” page – a place for the audience member to write down the ideas that made them say, “WOW.” Any idea that elicits a “wow” is one that you’ll likely want to remember and utilize. Giving the participant a single spot for these notes increases the odds that they will read them again, implement your best ideas and most importantly, come back to you for more good ideas.
My “WOW” page also includes a place for the audience member to write down the top ideas they heard that they plan to implement. Your participant leaves your session with an “action plan” for implementation. This makes you more credible and a resource to turn to for additional help or business.
