Competing in Non-Competitive Environments
Create your own business opportunities and leverage successful client ideas and programs by marketing them to similar clients.
This major strategy is used to obtain business in non-competitive environments by creating my own business opportunities to get hired when the prospect hadn’t even thought of doing so.
As a professional speaker, I figure I have two choices in marketing:
1) market myself to existing speaking events where I’ll be compared to lots of other speakers
or
2) create speaking events other speakers won’t even know about and compete with me for.
Creating your own business opportunities where you don’t compete with other companies is the ultimate business opportunity. You decide where you want to sell, what you want to sell, how to market your business etc. (and charge what you deserve in the process!)
