Why a Manual: Cost and Style Advantages
If you follow my system, manuals are cheaper to print than books. You can produce text pages and color covers relatively inexpensively and you don’t have to print 500 copies to get a price break.
With books you get few style options. Books tend to be only a couple different sizes and the binding is pretty much the same for all books.
With manuals, you can have 8½” x 11” or 8½” x 5½” options. You can use “perfect” binding (like books) or spiral wires. You can bind your manual from the sides or top and you can choose among many binding wire colors and material.
It’s your manual and you know what your audience and customers want instead of being told by a publishing company what their accountants want.
