Your Website “Product” Link is Killing Your Sales
A sure way to keep your customers and prospects from buying your educational materials is to have a link on your website called “Products.”
Doesn’t that just scream “if you click here, someone will try to sell you something?”
You know people don’t like to be sold anything and you just made it easier for them to get their wish! Instead, change the link “Product” to something your customers and prospects can’t resist:
ü 101 marketing ideas to double your business
ü Top 10 ways to keep your employees happy and employed
ü Train the trainer tools
ü 50 ways to leave your lover!
Aren’t those links people are more likely to click?
And when they click that link, what do they see? An order form for your “products?” Not if you actually want to sell any.
How about some free information related to the title of the link that brought them here in the first place?
How about something like 10 ideas from your manual and a link that says, “For 91 more great ideas, click here?” And when they get there, they see a description of the other 91 ideas with a benefit about each one -before they see a price and an order form. Your website has become a resource for your expertise and a place to avoid buying products!
