Selling From the Platform is a Skill
…that must be learned, practiced and perfected. You’ve come too far to blow everything because of a poor sales presentation. You can mess with other elements of the selling system and you might even be able to get away with it. There’s little margin for error, however, in the sales presentation—but it’s nothing to be afraid of.
You should embrace the sales presentation—look forward to that part of your speech. It’s the place where you can help people the most—where your audience can get the most value for their investment. Isn’t that why you got into this business and what motivates you to stay?
The sales presentation has a legitimate place in your speech/presentation--it can’t be muffed and it shouldn’t be rushed. If it looks like you just “threw it in” babble your way through it and rush through to the end of it—your audience will respond in kind—by not buying.
